Offering three spacious bedrooms, the master queen bedroom and bathroom are privately situated away from the two additional queen and twin bedrooms and second bathroom. There is a laundry and attached indoor garage at the end of the house.
Mallee Rise is located less than 1.5km (15 min walk or 2 min drive) from one of Kangaroo Island’s most beautiful beaches, Pennington Bay, an expansive stretch of beach featuring a world class surf break. It is a 10 minute drive from American River (boat launch, restaurants, general store and much more), 20 minutes from both Penneshaw and Kingscote and for golfers, this property is just a 10 minute drive from the site of The Cliffs.
For nature enthusiasts, Mallee Rise is situated within conservation land that is visited by all varieties of wildlife, from the KI kangaroo to rare endemic birds found nowhere else in the world. As you arrive and enter the winding gravel driveway up to the property, take care as you will not be the only inhabitants – kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, birds, and goanas may be there to welcome you.
Not to mention on occasion the seals & dolphins seen in the lagoon right from the deck. Shaded and protected from the winds, Mallee rise is an all-season destination. Watch the magnificent sunrise fill the lagoon with a true spectacle of color while eating breakfast with motherand joey kangaroos while colorful birds abound, walk the property trails to spot seasonal wildlife, and enjoy the fire pit with family and friends.
Close to some of the Islands revered eateries and wineries, Mallee Rise is the perfect location to escape from it all but with just a pinch of convenience.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation more than 30 days of arrival – FULL Refund.
Cancellation between 8 – 30 days of arrival – 50 % of total cost.
Cancellation 7 and less days before arrival – 75% of total cost.
Cancellation within 24 hours of arrival – 100% of total cost.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
Please note that severe winter weather can occasionally lead to ferry cancellations. Our standard cancellation policy applies to all guests, regardless of whether you arrive by plane or ferry. Refunds cannot be provided for unused services or early departures. However, we assess each situation on a case-by-case basis.
